    New cager trend forming?

I've been noticing of late a trend that I'm none too happy with. I think cagers are starting to indicate as bikers approach just to scare them even when there is no gap whatsoever to head into and we all know it's not like anyone in peak hour to actually indicate for a few seconds prior to moving.

So I can only go on cagers getting green envy face and trying to scare us bikers by indicating just as we get up on them. I say this from years of experience watching people's body language through their cars. Not one of them has looked like they were actually going to change lanes. Normally if they haven't seen you filtering and they're about to go they normally get a fright and then abuse the shit out of you or look 'buzzed' as they're normally half asleep. These 4 odd people I experienced this with over the last couple of weeks have had a relaxed smug look on their face and I watch them in the mirror to see if they're still indicating or even look like going....and they're not!!

I don't know about you guys, but there's going to be more blood spilt on the western motorway if this keeps up....it'll be my foot up their asses

Crashbars and solid givi panniers mate. Nobody fucks with bikes with crashbars. I tore off a volvo's rear bumper with a givi pannier once (serves him right for changing lanes without looking).

    I'd also recommend a 130+ db exhaust.

    Works a treat

The've been doing it for years dude. Just a friendly wave and carry on your way (fingers and foot covering the brake of course). Just remember some cagers dont see you and others just hate you.......both are just as dangerous!

Check, indicate, check. Go when it's clear.

It's nice to hear of it happening, don't you think?

You might be seeing some UK imports doing it properly. Most Kiwis indicate as they change lanes.

Its true - I got the memo with the car registerstration reminder.

Apparently if we take out 3 bikes there is 6 months free rego for you.

Expect to see more of it.

You seem paranoid. Are you sure there is no-one watching you?

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Having driven the motorway many times there doesnt need to be a gap. cagers just push in anyway!!

And as for indicators I thought the use of them was optional on the Auckland motorway.

Well it appears that way to me anyway

I've noticed something similar on the southern, cars in the right hand lane will move as close as possible to the left hand side of their lane, blocking the lane split.

Shame about the big gap on the right, now tho.

I want to buy a monkey, to carry on the back of the bike, and throw peanuts at the cars as I go by.
