    Blah KBC Helmets

Has anyone got or had a KBC helmet? I am looking at getting a new helmet and have taken a fancy to one of these three helmets but can't decide on graphics. Also are there any negative aspects with the matt finish on a helmet compared to the gloss? I have attached the pics of the helmets I am looking at

Have had a KBC VR1 for a few years now and very happy with it.

I got a KBC VR-IX with tribal graphics, like in the middle pic....but black with white graphics.I like it - quiet and well made (in China)....although the web site is US.The vents work well too.Only thing I don't like is the lift tab for the visor,it's too far around the side, and twists the visor when lifting.I thought it was the most comfortable, best quality helmet in my price range....and the gaphics weren't too loud.

I have had a KBC "Force S" Airborne Edition for a couple of years now with no problems, for the $$$ I think they are very good value, I have had an Arai and an AGV before and they are way overpriced compared to the KBC.
Can't comment on the Matt finish but this is a lot more common now so should be sweet!!

I've had two KBC VR2's now. They're nice helmets. The visors are cheap but the mechanism isn't so great and to my disgust they changed the visor mechanism from one year to the next so I couldn't use my old visors on my new helmet (the whole reason I got the same helmet).

To be honest, I've had a nicer helmet for less dollar...an AGV Airtech. It was more comfortable, quieter, seemed to be made a bit better, but the visors are bloody expensive. I wish I hadn't trashed that helmet, or I'd just got another one.

EDIT: Oh, and one of the VR2's was a matt finish. It was fine. No probs. Infact I reckon it stays cleaner than the gloss helmet
