Fuel consumption?

I get about 20 km per litre on the highway (going an average of about 145 kph) and I get about 16 km per litre in the city. That's about 5 L/100km on the highway, and 6.2 L/100km in the city. And that's on my Kawasaki Ninja 650r.. talk about a heavy foot.

My 94 VFR gets 320 to 350K before red light comes on some 17.6L regardless of how it's ridden. Riding is commute Welly and surrounds. Got much more on the SI tour, like 360/370k. Have to say it's running costs are relatively low. Coming up to 90,000k and only fault has been its rectifier (replaced at 50,000). No bulbs blowing or anything - touch wood.

Fuel economy is nothing,until you are down to 1 line or reserve and not sure where next fuel station is.

15km/l mainly open road commuting with a few 'drop down 2 and hold on' moments, just because it never gets old, or boring.

The 550F is averaging around 47mpg on 91. Not bad considering how old and worn it is.
