[QUOTE=Jimmie] and it is a good thing for the import duty to be removed from mbike helmets and it should be removed from all bike safety gear.
    QUOTE]

Now wouldnt that be a good idea! What they lost in duty should be well covered by the saving in medical costs if everyone could afford good quality safety gear. Write to ACC and suggest it.
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

Opps, sorry Redstar - I must admit I wondered if it had been done but was (honesty is the best policy!) too lazy to do a search. I will do so now and have a look.

I phoned them yesterday, and sure enough, it's the under-25's they want to survey this time around.

Interesting to hear the comment about "10 times more likely...."

Jimmie: I too certainly hope they listened. Sounds like all good stuff that you said.

Yes well I can't say I was ever that desperate for money.

It's funny how knowing people that do thoese sorts of jobs makes you think differently about the poor sucker on the end of the line calling you.

How about all prospective cage drivers should be made to do a bike test first and experience 6-12 months on the road before being allowed anywhere near a cage ?

It'll enable them to be more considerate, observant etc.

Let us know what sort of questions they're asking you.
Why do they have to ring just at dinner time? Surely common sense would state that if you want people to actually do a telephone survey, don't ring at meal times. Hence to get compliance and to aviod the sort of phrases like "piss off"! etc etc.
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

I got the letter, haven't been called yet

I've only been on the road for 3 months, why do they want me?
