Bikes needed for display (Sun 15 Feb)

The Emergency Services and Volunteers people are having a public display tomorrow That's Sunday 15th Feb) . Outside the North harbour Stadium, opposite (I'm told) the Albany Centre.

They need some bikes just parked up for people to look at (but not touch). BRONZ will be putting on a riding display, but stationary bikes are needed.

Costs nothing, and you can come and go anytime from 9am to around 3pm . Partiularly wanted around midday. basically just prak up beside the big yellow trailer (and maybe answer a question or two if any are asked and you aren't shy). You don't have to stay with the bike , you can go look at all the fire engines and stuff, or just get a feed.

Anybody who can, please roll up. Big bikes, small bikes, scooters, anything with two wheels.

Harleys definately allowed. I think Harleys would probably be a hot item.

The public like Harleys. If Joe Public sees the display and thinks "I always wanted a motorbike", he has a lot better chance of persuading Mrs Joe Public to go along with the idea with a Harley than a Sprotsbike. And it has the name.

A think a 9yo pillion would be ideal. Idea is to get Joe Public thinking "Oh Hey, so motorbikes aren't just for Hells Angels. I could ride one too". So, "Hey this guy rides a motorbike and he's got a 9 year old kid, just like a normal person" is a good message. And Mrs Joe Public is reassured. Anyone with a 9 yoi kid can't actually be a child eating rapist bikie, can he?

    Just rock on up.

At the risk of taking this off topic I will refrain from comment.

    Thumbs up

Hmph, how come I hadn't heard about this till I read about it on here?

I'll see if I can cruise up for a looksee. My bike will be embarrassed parked next to a lot of nice bikes, but oh well.
Hopefully the rain will be all gone.

VTR250 will be good. I'd expect a few young guys (and chicks) , so they'd be keen to see what they can legally ride.

    Rock on up.
