Could you tell me what it actually cost to take your bike with you, I don't mean transport, but what admin charges did you incure.
Assuming things go according to plan, can you ride your bike straight away once you get it out of the container, or does it take a couple of weeks of paper work anyway?

On my Elsinore I'd removed the battery, as the headlight ran directly off a circuit in the magneto/generator thingo anyway, so the battery was only for everything else. Because I was a poor-arse student, I didn't bother with a battery eliminator, so it meant that it used to blow taillight bulbs, as the battery wasn't there as a buffer. One night, I'd just left my girlfriend's place, and pulled out in front of a traffic cop.
Uh oh...
So, I knew the brake filament in the taillight wasn't blown, so I rde along with my foot lightly on the brake pedal. He pulled me up, and said, "Your tail light doesn't work!'
"Doesn't it?" (had a look, feigned surprise, fiddled with the wires, etc.)
"No, but the brake light does. Not a problem this time, but better get it fixed."
"Yeah, OK, thanks!"
