The poor bugger is 85 - he will no doubt be put in a home and forgotten about - his freedom taken away - as has been done. What help and care will he get once he comes out of hospital - jack fkn shit I can assure you. Wont be able to afford to go to the Dr or get meds/pain killers.

Having seen the pics of the arsehole on the news, I am confident that he will get shopped. Cunts like that have more enemies than friends!

Quite right Al...and like they said ''it takes alot for someone of that age to bounce back from any kind of injury''... a beating like that? he may never be his old self again. Hope he doesn't give up at the ripe old age of 85.

They spoke to a friend of his on National radio this morning,he said that thankfully he is a tough old rooster with a positive attitude to life and many supporters,so he will probably come through ok although the mental scars are probably the worst....
hopefully this POS tries to resist arrest...

Hmmm, Papatoetoe incident...Middlemore hospital is my bet.

I saw the news item tonight, words fail me really. The saddest thing about this is his age. You are doing well to be still driving and living independantly at the grand age of 85. It takes so much longer to recover from fall at that age, let alone a friggen hiding and being flung out of your car!

Really, I have no words. My thoughts, good wishes and every bit of positive energy I can send are headed towards him, for an uncomplicated recovery.

Absolutely disgusting!!!! I hope that POS gets what's coming to him. Hell give me a zimmerframe and I'll beat the crap out of him with it...low life scum.

Hope the old fella does bounce back well - 85 is pretty old alright and to think he might not come out of it with the same level of confidence and general health fitness than before is very sad.

"s worse than that. Odds are he'll now fall into the clutches of the social wankers, and that's always the end of the line for an old bastard.

    Justice may still be served.....

If they catch the prick, inmates usually dish out their own level of justice. When I worked for Justice and visited the prisons, prison officers often told me stories of justice served on the low lifes that attacked women, children and old men who deserve the respect from society for their efforts.

I sure hope the prick(s) get whats coming to them...

makes me sick to hear the news that people that have risked their lives for this country can be harmed like this. Makes me sooooo angry that someone has no respect for another person let alone someone the age of their grandfather. What a sack of horse crap he doesn't deserve jail more like dropped out of a boat a couple of hundred km's off shore and left there.
