I want one of those heavyduty ones > See them alot at GNCC etc
Congrats on the bike. KB exc200 subtribe getting larger. I think Tjebbe Bruin (480 9408) of Waitemata club could make you one of those pipe guards. Bit of work though so it won't be cheap (or light weight). Check out the cool SA made Hyde Developments one as well.
Ktm do have one, I've seen pics of it??? Do a google.
Big thing attached to the frame. From the looks of the marks that I've polished off the pipe, mine may have had one on before I bought it!
Edit: here ya go http://husaberg.net.au/online_shop/i...roducts_id=186
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
You see them on a lot of 2 strokes that do Erzeburg.
Got one of those with my bike but still yet to try it out
real light too dont think you would notice a weight difference

Something like this, pm dafydd, http://www.offroadimports.co.nz/user...P-EXG-62-R.jpg
That guard wasnt the one I was meaning, but it does look very good. I think the ones im thinking of are homejobs.
Might have to look into the pricing of the above link.

I am certainly going to miss her.![]()
I figured the ones you were thinking of look a bit like a cage formed around the pipe. Just remembered something hard case, a mate said he saw one of these cage jobs on a bike at Riverhead recently. A big branch had gone through between the sections had and flattened the pipe. Sometimes you just can't win!
I love the light weight and 'HR Giger' look of the Hyde one and I especially like the way it sits off the pipe (unlike my ali one) so less prang energy transmitted. Only drawback I can think of is it might be a bit of a mud collector. I had to cut my pipe in half, dolly out the dings then weld back together. A big hassle worth avoiding so I'd love one of these guards.
Whereabouts in OZ are you going dammad? Just curious as I went for a recent scopeout with a view to moving myself.
Leave the missus behind, take her instead..![]()
