They should all be gone now, got up to 80. 119km and 3 @ 116km.
11 months off the bike helped to get rid of these.
Should have a few more but the last couple of times the fuzz have turned their lights on they havent been able to turn around and chase due to heavy traffic.

In my long driving/riding career I have had more points than a compass at the north pole! Some were in the car and some on the bike - probably about 50-50. Yep, you guessed, they were all for speeding. This clearly paints a picture of me being a reckless hoon with total disregard for the law and other road users.

Thing is, I don't think I am. OK...so we all have a wee sprint now and again when we think that PC Prendergast isn't looking, but my points have all been earned by creeping slightly over 50K or 100k. What you might call easy pickings which translates as easy money. No doubt the do-gooders will say "you commit the crime, you pay the fine" but anyone who says "I never speed" is clearly in denial.

It's all to easy to creep 10k over the statutary speed limit and since living in New Zealand all 75 of my current DPs have been earned within 500m of my home. That's because the aforementioned PC Predergast (of the Upper Hutt Constabulary) chooses to lurk in a mufti and point a hair dryer at me because "local residents have complained about boy racers". Pft! I wouldn't mind if I was a boy racer.

Must admit though, due to my "one more strike and you're out" status, I do ride like a nana as I'm getting closer to home. It would be quicker to get off and push it!

Sometimes we give heavy traffic a hard time BUT if it wasn't for that I would be walking now

    35... 119kpm (cough cough) in a 100k zone...

Hampton Downs of all places (on a demo Buell). How could I NOT have seen the marked car waiting at the end of the straight???????????

Kicked myself! Actually it was pissing down with rain and visibility was shite... (yeah yeah naughty for speeding in those conditions...) when i spotted the cop I was doing over 140, braked as hard as I could...

Cop was really nice (bloody cute!), reckoned he waited til I got below 120 before locking in the speed...what a nice guy :-)

Zero. Zip. Nadda. Nil. The haven't managed to hand me a ticket for 8 years... not that they haven't tried...
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

55 for me....last one april last year 114 for passing a car (bad)

but on a brighter side anything over 140 was either let of with a warning or had it reduce greatly(good)

Take the good with the bad

Leaving the country does wonders for your demerit situation....so...currently on 0!

Over here ...ummmm........6, I think (out of 12)......108 in an 80, (in an Econovan ffs), 113 in a 100 and a speed camera at night whilst slowing into a country town of 87 in a 80!

I honestly don't give a shit about them, any more. I ride in what I consider a safe manner and at a safe speed, regardless of the posted limit, and, if mr local gung-ho plod comes around the corner, tough, I'm going to get pinged!

(But all under the mantra of safety, of course!)

I am on zero and trying to keep it that way - had a couple of close calls though. It is possible that after losing my license for accumulating too many points (all for speeding), I didn't really learn my lesson - but after losing my license a second time I have at least learnt to be more cautious. Since the last time I lost my license I have only had 1 speed camera fine & no demerit points.
