Had a rock thrown at me! Bastards!

Riding down the road all of 15 minutes ago, roads pretty quiet and it's getting dark. I spot some youths hanging around the side of the road with one standing out slightly more than the others. I see his arm perching upwards and I figure this can't be good. I try my best to throw my head forward and accelerate (low revs on a two stroke; doesn't work!) Next thing I know I hear a big thump on the side of my helmet.

Fking bastards. I turned around and flipped them the bird knowing I would be home soon and could call the cops. Got home and inspected helmet for damage. None thankfully as I would have no chance of getting them to buy a new one.

I've called the cops and hopefully they will still be there when they drive past.

Man I'm pissed!!

Anyone else encountered ignorant public fools like this? Also do you think I could have done anything else?

Thanks, will do. They said they would do a driveby and see if they are still there. I doubt I will be hearing back from them.

Oh and I am a youth (17) so going back and getting my arse kicked wasn't really an option unfortunately.

I had some young f%$ker throw rocks at me in my jetboat one day...
could see it happening but were committed to that channel...
they hit my boat but missed us... I turned around went back and stopped to abuse them but they were quite drunk as well and abusive...
I then started the boat and when I went past I through the boat sideways and gave them and there car a good full throttle squirt or water and stones... dam funny and bet they will remember that lesson...

they had thrown stones/rocks at quite a few boat before us

actualy I disagree.....
I think we all should take our personal rights and liberties a bit more serious...
Anybody attacking some unsuspecting "citizen" doesn't need to concern him/her self with the consequences of our judical system.....
Not even sure they should burden the medical apparatus either......

Hmm, just got off the phone with the cops. They couldn't see anyone there so they must of scattered. Asked if I wanted to make a complaint, I asked back if it was worthwhile. The lady said not really if I have no idea who they are.

If I get a chance tomorrow I may go down and make it formal but I don't think anything will come of it.

So, what have I learned? If I see someone preparing to do the same again, kick it down two gears to hit the power band and smoke it out of there, and come back with a chainsaw

Nope, two lane road with a verge sort of thing in the middle. Was about 2 meters before them as well.

What makes me slightly more annoyed is I had thought about going home a different way due to a car indicating cops up ahead (speedo doesn't read very accurately so try to avoid when possible.)
