Looking for a handlebar cross brace

    Hi Guys,

I am looking for a handlebar crossbrace to fit a set of 7/8 bars... does anyone have a brace on a set of wrecked bars they are willing to part with?

I don't need the pad or anything else, just the two clamps and the brace.

Please send me a pm or txt 027 222 1052 I can come and pick up around Auckland

    Cheers,

    Phil

I have a Z1000 that has an annoying buzz through the bars at about 120kmh. I have read about guys filling the bars with lead shot (which I'm trying to track down without needing to buy 10kg) or fitting a brace. I have thought about replacing the bars with some new ones but thought I would see if I could try and find a brace to fit first and see how well it works. I have asked all my mates that ride and also tried a few wreckers without any luck so thought I would try here. Cheers

Any bike shop can order them new from Renthal - $79 - available in spiffy colours to pretty up the Z. I'd say a trip to a dirt bias shop will sort you out with even cheaper ones.

I tried a couple of shops and they just tried to sell me new bars, I thought you must be able to buy it on it's own. Thanks
