BTW, I did in fact catch the sarcasm. Anyone on KB for a long time knows the Wave/Nod thread has been overdone but "74 knuckle" only joined recently.

It was noted hence the hint about the merged waving thread. I see you missed that. Mods seem slow on the uptake these days.

How many Hero parades have you been to? I hear they wave too.

In a perfect world everyone would proudly fly tassels with no need to make them for compulsory......

Now I ride my own HOG and I certainly acknowledge every other rider I encounter. In fact if the truth is to be Known I Quite often get ignored by sport bike riders. So is this a myth, or is it a projection to someone elses inadequacies?

Thank you for the information, something that I was unaware of, and yes perhaps I should of stated with more clarity that I meant Harley Davidson Riders My apologies if this has been taken out of context, with my oversight in wording.

So you're saying tassles are bikecentric?
What, in your opion. is the RIGHT kind of bike?

I do see advantages in having tassles. For example-handle bar tassles can be used as fly swats.

There are the odd group of hd guys that call in for social chat/meetup 4 ride type thing on a sunday afternoon. always happy to get phone numbers of others looking to join them on a ride.

I find HOGS wave more often than other riders (even if i'm on the GN250). I'd agree that sportsbike riders wave the least. Maybe its an age thing.

I find ya wear a full face shoei helmet and harley owners don't wave back and sprots look at ya wierd like.
Though had a sprot owner wave to me in a corner up Godley Head yesterday, had to wave back of course.
But whats a wave worth , bugga all really so why not, if they wave back all good if not stuff em.
