Defensive Driving on Learners?

I did my Defensive Driving course while i was on my restricted car licence but at the same time i was on my motorcycle learners. Now that i have my restricted do i really have to do it again? Considering i only did it a year ago, if they say i do, im gunna be pretty pissed off as i dont wanna wait an extra 6 months i also dont wat to pay the $1?0 again let alone do the course again. And if you say i may have forgotten, well maybe but if thats so then they are a waste of time if normally people only do them once. and when i did it i TRIED to concentrate and did better than the court ordered drink drivers...

If you're under 25 you'll have to do it again. When you sit the course you have to have held a restricted license in which ever class you wish to reduce wating time for. But if you're over 25 then you can re-use your previous certificate.

You could always do this course instead of the AA one as it's actually targeted at motorbike riders.

yeah seeing that add reminded me of the question... hmm no got a few years before im 25

and yeah thats about a 1076 km ride just there and i dont think they do one local

so its lookin like the aa one becoz they dont have any motorcycle 1 in chch

dammit that sux, ive done a defensive too, when i was younger to shorten my car license, but if you can't use it again don't you have to wait 18 months on restricted?

yea it will unless i do it again... which i probly will as i need a bit mre power but refuse to pay 4 the inflated prices 4 a zxr etc... so only 12 months hopefully. bt grrr y couldnt that new law have come in reguarding motorcycling licences and stuff with bigger cc bikes but i also saw that they would let more advanced courses be taken and would count while on learners which to me is common sence.

Yep fookin money sucking leeches they are... You'd think it'd be the other way around seeing as if you're under 25 than you've done the course within 9 years and if you're over it'll be more than that. Not to mention the fact that the latter group make up the most part of fatal riding accidents caused by the rider.

I did my DD course when I was about 16 at school, and the lessons stayed with me for life. I still had to do it again many years later when I was thirty-mumble, and hated every minute of it, as well as having to pay the $. A necessary evil if you want to reduce your time though.

Yes - a much better option, as the DD course is not specific to bikes AT ALL. I wish they'd been offering it when I finished off my licence.
