    Thinking of a GSXR750 "old school"

    Looking to buy a 1986's to 1991 GSXR750,as a bit of a Project Bike! what is the best year, and what should I look out for regarding problems /issues,
    Any constructive help welcome.

    Any model except the 89-90 J or K models.

    The short stroke motor was the worst of them. I'm partial to the F-G or the L myself.

    That bike is pre Vanilla Ice, he was on a '91
    Love the slabbies although I prefer aircooled overall

    If I remember correctly you raced this exact same one at the trentham 1/4 mile drags about 13 years ago for fastest 750 in its class

    What was i thinking..my poor clutch. The poor guy who bought it never knew it had been Maired haha.

    check this one out maybe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-207105423.htm was squid's bike (member on here) hes in dunedin now, so its been sitting there for a month or two now since he came down for uni, I bet youd get it for 3K easily, he wants it gone so he can buy something else down here.
    I think its quite close to you to, In Hamilton I think?

    Go for a slabside, 85-87 lots of spares, everyone and his dog have modified them so theres alot of info out there. Heck I have one thats gathering alot of dust.
