    Cheetah 200

I'm thinking about buying this bike here http://tinyurl.com/c7vnqv and I plan on using it mostly around town but also to go off roading sometimes. Are they any good or should I just stay away?

seen a lot of them this week around here- well maybe 2 or 3 - or perhaps the same person going to work & back. Anyway they look nice but I'm sure you'll hear all about them chinese bikes soon

Just looked at the ad & you're better off buying something already road registered - there's probably more hasle than you need.

    Agree. Stay away.
Like anything, buy a tried and true brand. Good luck.

you guys are missing the point

there are not may viable options in the sub 2k market

these things can be value for money if you directly compare them to the totally rooted jappa you would buy for the same money.

The chinese bikes we owned cost $1500 new and lasted 12 months of thrashing (they were rooted after that). We couldn't have brought $1500 used jap trail bikes and ridden them for 12 months without spending a small fortune on fixing all the inevitably stuffed bits you get with old bikes.

I strongly agree with Pamei though - buy one thats already road legal. people who claim -- 'it can be made road legal' are generally full of shit.
