    Clutch and Forks

Firstly, my clutch. I don't know if this is normal, but it doesn't seem to do much. When warm it can idle at a stop in gear, but cold it just stalls. Quite clunky. I thought this might be normal in a bike? is it?

Forks. They are leaky. Need new seals? I cleaned them two days ago. Looked at bike again today and after just sitting in the shed she has drops dripping off the bottom. Is that pretty bad? Can I, should I, attempt this myself? I am practical enough, but how complicated are forks seals to do?

    Cheers.

Cheers. I'll look at doing them then. Still not sure if I should tackle them myself.

And my clutch? Is that normal?

Fork seals are easy enough to do once you get into it, but would suggest having someone help who has done them or a good manual. Just remember to make sure you give all the parts a really good clean and refill with the correct amount of oil.

As for the clutch, it doesn't sound normal. Quick things to check is your cable adjustment and oil quantity/type. If they are all fine and you still have a problem you need to drop the oil out and take off the clutch cover to check the clutch components themselves.

People says yeah forks are easy, but I think that unless you've done them before or been shown by someone else they are not the kind of thing that you just give a crack. Don't get me wrong, if you're keen to do it, by all means give it a go, but I'm personally not that keen on pulling to bits something that holds you up when you could be going up to and over 100kmph.
