Sorry to hear so many had moments with poor riding by others, personally I didn't see much (1 guy making a poor pass on sunday) but it might be worth remembering that the people making those crappy moves are probably not very competent riders and are struggling themselves with control. I don't mean to condone that behaviour but the people in control of their bikes are choosing their lines and not causing problems while the guys that are struggling to get anywhere tend to run over/ crash into almost anything. I doubt there is a solution to this, it's part of learning to ride, all you can do is try and be as careful as your skills allow you to be and recognise the lack of competence in others.
Oh, and wear full body armour.
Bro, these people that all these nice KBers are complaining about sound just like us? lol
Worst offence I ever witnessed was by dave when he tried to go up the "no Quads" section on Desert storm a few years ago (on his raptor) he ended up endoing backwards down the track and taking out a couple of oncoming riders. What a muppet, couldn't help but laugh.
Or there was the time he full speed sideswiped a bank at "trail blazer"... a big bolder came rolling out of the bank and wiped out the front wheel of the kid he was trying to pass. Not funny i know but man sometimes you find yourself in a strange little place where all you see is red and you just gotta be a hoon.
I know i've pissed people off on trail rides before, never knowingly but sometimes you just fuck up, I'm sure everone's done it. As for offering help... i will always help someone who needs it but if anyone ever asks me "do you need a hand?" ..... fuck no i don't need a hand. (in the nicest possible way) Pride... it's a weak mans game
Oh just to save face i've never owned a sports quad and i have done humanity a favour by converting two of the fastest most insane quad riders to 2 wheels

panoramic view
Cool pic! Me and Krad stopped for lunch on the dam trail in a neat valley bit, kept saying it'd be great to get a panoramic pic of the area.
I hear there was like 800 riders on Sat and 1000ish on Sunday. Great turn out! Heres some pix of Sat morning muster and Kids Dam ride muster.

These pics are amazing!! Tussock Buster was so much fun and I CANT WAIT for next year!
Hey there CRF Chick!
Pity I didn't know you were going to Tussock Buster, you could have had a ride with us. If you're up in Auckland any time, drop me a line. It was great fun. Went down with a bunch of guys, but dumped them and a girlfriend and I did a couple of laps of Marsden Point! It was awesome. There were a couple of guys kept passing us, but we knew where the bog was! Sure enough they got stuck. Quite amusing. Pretty dusty, and heaps of throttle jockeys passing, but hey, it was great fun!!
Don't know any of these people. Good photos though.
