An insurance company that specialised in woman riders would not be a company for long because companies are considered to be a "going concern" !!!!!!!!

Whichever insurance company you opt for just be weary of the payment options. I have just insured my bike with Kiwibike and got caught out. I opted for the monthly payment option and got a surprise when I would be paying an extra $65 per year for the pleasure. That was a premium increase of 17%.
I am sure this is probably the same with most companies however nothing on the website or info packs said that there would be an additional cost. In fact the terms and conditions on their website states that the supplied quote includes all fees, levies and GST.
A misunderstanding on my part perhaps but this should be made clear to the consumer when other repayment options are suggested.
Apart from this very minor glitch I have found them to be an efficient and friendly company to deal with.

Edit: Carrying on from what I wrote above. This evening I received a call from Dave, of Kiwibike, to follow up on my call that morning and tell me what had happened with respect to not being informed of the additional charges for making monthly payments. Kiwibike is a family business and his daughter, whom I was dealing with, omitted to tell me of the additional charges. Customers are informed of the additional monthly costs when choosing that payment method and forgetting to tell me is something she normally doesn't do but she was distracted due to a bad cold and dealing with another seriously ill family member. Dave made it clear he was not making excuses and in fact he was going to call everyone that had done business with Kiwibike on that day just to check that everything is in order. The points I raised about the website had been amended before he even called me!
Now that is a company that has a finger on the business pulse and one that I am glad to be associated with.
    Thanks Dave.

Kiwibike is pretty good, just switch from AMI to them, as AMI don't wanna know me after getting a 600

    Insurance companies

I'm thinking of changing my bike insurance to Swann or Protecta Insurance

Has anyone got any feedback on these companies ?

    Cheers, Mark

I had 3 policies with AA, including one on my Suzuki GSX-R 1100
They refused to ensure my Ducati when I bought it- said theyre 'exotic' bikes?

So, first company I called- AMI- very helpful- was covered in 4 minutes and at a great i mean great premium- and i wont be renewing my old policies- oviously
    Just ride.

    Cheers.

I'm actually with AMI at the moment. I've had no hassles. They were great with a couple of household claims I've had over the years.

According to Swann's website, it looks like I might save $100 on my bike's annual premium and drop my excess from $600 on $250.

Of course price isn't everything, but I thought it was worth checking the others out though.
