I reckon if a person who has enough sense to get himself some gear or full gear will have a sense of safety as well.

Your mate is d#$head, just tell him that:
See what I told you so" when his arse eat some gravels. And if he has been on a scoot for 4 years with no gears then what makes you think he will get gears for a bike. Just go to youtube and show him some squids on roads and he'll realize, but that's not a guarantee somehow, just my guts feelings.

    Thumbs down

And a 150 won't do as much damage with the accel as a 250 nevertheless . Unless you've had some gravels in your mouth or similar you'll never wake up to how bad some small things can get you in the shit.

Should you "help" your friend. Good question, we all like "helping" our friends. So the answer is yes!!! "Help" your friend get kitted up properly with correct gear.........

Than "help" him find a bike.

    Goodluck.

I used to ride a 50cc scooter with no safety gear. Never occurred to me in a million years (although I didn't actually ride it for a million years), I considered it a bike with a motor.

When I got my motorbike I knew I had to get safety gear.

Don't write him off too soon.

You can put a chimp in a suit but they are still a chimp.
If your mate has been riding for three years already and is still that lazy and learned nothing, feel free to guide him to the scene of his first real accident, all the riding gear in the world will not save an idiot (your words not mine) from themselves.

Do what you think is right,he is your mate.

i mean yea it would be cool to have a friend who rides too but damn hes a freakin idiot sumtimes.

should i help him find something? maybe i could but i could take him gear shopping first for gloves jacket and a new helmet? or maybe i should let him crash his scoot and get scarred up and wised up? then help him
I would say don't help him.

It is a hell of a responsibility to take on and when he gets minced on the road, it will all be your fault.

Don't feel bad. If he's that thick, he doesn't deserve to be in the pool.

Dude, it seems to me that you are one of those rare genuine friends who really cares about his mates. I would say to him that you think he needs to wise up a bit if he wants a bike, but youll help him, and tell him that you think he needs to budget for some safety gear as well as a bike. Then ask him to go do a riding skills course, cos even you (and me) can always do with a brush up, no matter how awesome we think we are!!!!!
Good on you for giving a shit dude, hes lucky to have you as a mate.
