    Birdstrike

I've copped a few heavy weight bumble bees and even a sparrow (I think it was) but this is in a whole different league

Had a sparrow get caught in my half open jacket, fucker shat everywhere, too.
Rawr. I don't envy the next guy to get mown down by an albatross or the likes, though.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

A while back I bagged a bird of prey feeding on roadkill on the Old Taupo Road. Put it flat on its back. Stopped to help (or send it to eagle heaven) and the bugger hopped in to the bush before I could get to it. Could not find it anywhere. That night the shoulder bruises came out. Sore as for ages.

Photo was one of a bunch of various birdstrikes (mostly on aircrafts) so not of me personally.
Dusk would have been the most likely time for this one according to the part Canadian Mrs Naki Rat.
I've also had a few near misses involving hawks breakfasting on road kills.
