While we are talking ducati's, I could see one of those Hypermotard 796's becoming a pretty nice adventure bike. 21inch front, 18 rear, longer travel rear linkage, repalce the front forks and put an off road style fender on the front, woooooot!

Anyone got about $20k they want to give me to see if this works?

It's called the Terromonstro or something, there's pics elsewhere on KB of it.

    XTZ 850 R Full Factory

    So who wants one?

"We have the exceptional opportunity to present one of the most performing desert bikes built by the Yamaha race department: A XTZ 850 R Full Factory raced by Stéphane Peterhansel in 1992 and 93.

This machine was restored and overhauled by the Yamaha Motor France racing department in 2009 and is in perfect running order.
The bike is in its configuration of 1992. This is a works type OW D 8.
Stéphane Peterhansel used for the victories in 1992 and 93."
