    Dunno how they compare to the later bikes but the rear drum on my '82 R80 was excellent.

    As long as the hills are spaced reasonably apart there's no problem.
    I have a feeling that'll have a lightened flywheel too which should help the engine braking.
    I'd have liked to take my old XR to some of the places we've been adv'ing...
