The Scrambler: must say I liked the special in the Triumph magazine. Ohlins shocks, Arrow exhaust, paint job, etc. Looked better in the mag than this pilfered pic.

    Cheers,

Had one of those, neat road bike. Of all the 900cc bike/engine variants, the Tiger made more power than all the others to 6000+rpm. The first one to catch it (on the dyno) was the Cosworth-special Daytona Super III. Torque curve shaped like a house. High-quality fully adjustable rear shock, the best of any Triumph of the era.

Another 'biege' the first model year was available in 'sandstorm', a colour they never used again.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Slightly off topic, but check out the Honda ad on Youtube about halfway down the page. Quite hard case!
The roads about 55 secs through the ad look suspicously like Central/McKenzie country roads?

Due to some comments on the other thread I think this one should be here
And it would be nice if I owned a "cool" bike

Well if cool is measured by amount of smiles on faces, i reckon the mighty CT is in with a shot after its outing at the weekend mate!

Anyway, the BIG is cool, wot u on about?!!!!!!!

Yeah the part with the canal in the background definately looked like Tekapo to Pukaki canal, and the other shot looked like the southern alps.

Yes the CT & all other bikes that get noobs out riding get the automatic cool rating.

But... no amount of hinting, cajoling or moaning will get a bike into the cool category. The DRs & KLRs are not being rated in this thread as it will turn into the usual grudge match.

If was called purely the BIG then maybe it would be a different story
