Dont bother with mt cargill rd into waitati. unless of course you want to document your own Charlie boorman type documentary...loose seal for most of it and the rocks are the size of your fist....well okay maybe a babies fist.

is that starting from the bit about 100metres past the open road sign, as you go into a left hander? bloody been like that for two damn weeks now, had a bit of a fright when I went up there the other week

Yip, pissed me right off. Saw the extreme care sign and thought 'hmmm better take heed'

Thought it would only last 50 meters or so but it kept on going!

Towards the end of it there was a ute parked on the side of the road with a hog on the tray, another hog parked up beside it and two dudes having a chinwag. I gestured at the road and just shook my head and they laughed.

Oh well wasn't a complete loss, experiance gained
