    What to buy ?

    HELP ME
    IDEA'S PLEASE.
I've not thought about this until today.........but with the new job comes the chance to blast to work and back......165k's round trip 5 days a week in most weathers. (No longer a need for tools etc ,so no need for a truck!!!)
Its all open empty road that has got a few bits with a chance to get the knee down!. I'm getting on a bit and due to bacon sarnies now weigh in at 101kgs........so not another 996 (it would not last the milage anyway).
The old bike was an xs1100 that lasted 27 years before dying..........what do i buy..........taking in mind in reality it will be doing 35-40,000 k per year.
I sort of like the new V-MAX........but delivery times are over 12 months.

    *cough* RF900 *cough*

Bulletproof engines (based on the GSX1100 bottom end) known to run for over 200000kms.

Enough pace to have you licence permanantly taken and shredded by the constabulary.

Comfortable riding position for the, umm, larger gentleman (I myself am more husky)

And, if I may say so, a bargain for your dollar.

EDIT: unless you are talking brand new - in which case, Bandit 1250 or GSX1400 (limited edition one with a Yoshi slip-on for $13K)

    GSX1400

Cheap, powerful, and much loved by those that own them.

Not that I have ever ridden one, But if I were looking to do what your looking to do that's the bike I'd be looking to do it on.
