    Censor\pixelate number plate in video?

Dunno what thread to put this in, so sorry if this is the wrong one...but are there any IT geeks on here who can tell me an EASY way to pixelate or censor a number plate in a video, like for uploading to youtube or whatever. I have Abobe After Effects but happy to download any other progs that would work, preferably freeware! - cheers!

Short of running through the individual frames, I must apologise for my lack of knowledge. Good luck to you, sir.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Motion Tracking is what your after and Adobe After Effects can do that as far as i can tell. It shouldn't be too hard to do although i have never tried myself. If need be i will install the software to help you out. This sort of thing would be good if it were available!

The most basic way would be to use Masks and roughly animate the mask to follow the number plate.

    A basic tutorial:

It's been years since I used after effects but it has all the basic tools for this stuff.

    After Effects can do this.

If you are smart enough to need it for this purpose..you are smart enough use it for this purpose.
