    Victory Vegas

    http://www.victorymotorcycles.com.au...gas/index.html

Saw one of these in black today at the Westpac ride. This is the first cruiser I have even seen that I actually want to ride.

How much? 100 cubes, shit it'd be slower than Carver's brain activity, but I reckon it looks pretty neat.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

It's the only one of them that I don't go for the looks much. Not into excessive mudguards at all.

Much prefer the Hammer to look at. One of my favourite bikes.
They travel at appropriate speeds and have power outputs suitable for a road bike. Very enjoyable and remarkably smooth to cruise.

There is a Vegas 8-ball for sale down at the dealers - that was probably the one you saw

2009, 100 ci, Ness Fly bars (effectively a 2inch pull back over the stock bars - very very comfy) plus straight shotgun pipes - they sound awesome.
Ride away for about $24K I think. Theres about 3 of us in the club that are lusting over it at the moment.

PLUS one of our members is selling her 2007 8-ball. All the fancy bit plus swept pipes and more. She wants to get the 09 model mentioned above. I'm not sure what she is asking for her's but it'll be sub 20K. Should be on trademe soon if it isn't already.

There's also a stock Vegas low (not an 8-ball) in black down at the shop too I think. the diff between the Vegas and the 8-ball is that the 8-ball is blacked out with a 5-speed while the Vegas has more chrome and the 6th (overdrive) gear. The Low is...well....lower - in the seat..as well. If you do go down to the shop - check out the Hammer as well. Bring your gear - Brett is pretty good with demo rides.

A few March Hares ago i rode up to it with Xnuts,he was riding a very nice Victory and riding it very well i might add,we turned off the main rd and headed towards some of my favourite curvey bits,to get to them we had a few kms of nothing but straights,i was getting well fucked off when at 260 there was a Victory headlight not that far behind me so i figure they get along just fine, through the gorge (not real tight stuff but twisty enough) he still managed to keep that thing rockin along at a fair crack.

One of our guys has an Arlen Ness Signature Series Jackpot (well two of them do actually - but that'd be confusin and is not relevant to the story so just forgeddaboudit).........anyways, he really punts it along. We were going over the Kopu hill and up towards Coroglen the other week and he was doing at least [closed, private road officer] through the real twisties and must've been doing [the road is closed I tells ya constable] along the straights.

Woulda been a wonderful thing to see....
