Did a few 100 k's on it so far and farkin hell its actually fun to get on the roads again, now I all the boy racers on the road, overtaking is so much more fun ( safely ) aswell, no more gear changes up the Kaimai's..>> and by the way I do respect that beast. My 250 Hyo was an excellent bike no doubt about that but the SV is Awsome..

    Nice SV1000

Mate lovely looking bike just about as good as mine.
when you get financial again, You need to spend some money, and get rid of the standard exhausts. SV's were born to growl, put some yoshis on it and rip out the baffles, pure magic... the only way a SV should sound.
I agree with the other dude that the tail tidy removal does put shit all over the arse of the bike on wet day.
I have had to put clear stick on to protect the rear from stones.
Once a V- twin fan always a V twin fan.
Take it easy for quite a while aye...

Nice bike, congrats and enjoy.Someone mentioned the clear paint protector do it for sure, ive a 11 year old TL which has been covered with it for years, fairings, fork legs etc and the bike still looks like new,if its put on right you cant even tell its there.Ive an aftermarket undertray which is painted, the underside gets bashed hard with stones etc but theres not a chip on it,well worth doing.

Yep they sure are a lot of fun alright. Mines in black with yoshis, took the baffles out an man what a sound. Loud enough to hear her over the wind whistling past my ears. I put a tail tidy on her and also a hugger. No mess all over the under side and it looks sweet as. A few minor cosmetic changes hear and there and shes all mine. Looks different from all the rest and imho better than stock too.

Hell yeah SVs and Tls are the best looking jap twins by far. I would love a big vtwin but im a honda man, and the firestorms just dont have that look that makes you lust for it, which a good sports bike must have! (and im not rich enough for a sp1 etc). So ill stick with cbrs for now.
lets flip a coin... HEADS i get TAIL, TAILS i get HEAD
