i bleed the water trap daily so there is minimal moisture in the pneumatic lines that operate the brakes.

loaded it would take maybe twice as long to stop, which is too far with something that requires instinct
Not long ago I asked you how you would feel if you ran over a kid, and you said they would deserve it for being on the road you travel on, and now you swerve to avoid one... Are you going soft or something? lol

Well done Carver. Its not an easy choice to make in a nano second.
We live on a dead end street with 2 trucks and a lot of mostly unsupervised toddlers. It never ceases to amaze me that none of them have been hit yet.
I personally have nearly taken out 3 or 4 kids on bike who went screaming past the gate as I am backing out or the ever popular ride straight onto the road on your skateboard into the path of an oncoming car.
The sick thing is, if you actually slow down and tell them to get off the road the dear little angels often tell you to get farked or some such.
And driving down the street slowly just seems to indicate to them that they have right of way.
I wouldn’t be broke if the voices in my head paid rent

Unless it was pissing with rain I think I would brake, imagine if you hit the kid ,
Plod 'Did you see the kid'
    Carver 'yup'
Plod 'Did you brake , where are your brake marks'
    Carver 'I didn't brake.'

Judge ' You saw the child & made no effort to brake' ,as he picks up the law
book & makes ready to throw it at you

I'm not saying you are wrong as I was not there, just suggesting how it might play out

Ah, every problem is solved by braking. A true cage driver.

Your instincts served you well. The kid will get a shock and he / she will forget. Mum however has learned to tighten handgrip on said determined toddler.

I know when my kids were young, one of them was a runaway. I'd nearly break his little hand gripping it at lights.

It also amazes me how close to the kerb many people stand with children.

    You're a true masochist headbanger.

You do realise Carver he's getting sexual pleasure from being dominated, abused and publicly humiliated by you don't you?
You should be charging him Carver.

I think you did the right thing. If you are that concerned about your load moving you should probably secure it better.

Yeah brake anyway. It would be different if you stamped on the anchors and locked everything up, but I think you are well past such a thing. If anything, a stomp on the noisy airbrakes and a BLARRRRRRP on the horn scares littlies back to the footpath just nicely - similar to dropping your rowdy bike back a couple of gears.

Did u give the dumb-bitch mother the learn? Fuck I would have done a U turn up the kerbs and gone right back and given her the fucken word. No doubt it still would have been "your" fault anyway..

edit: Parents, dont hold the kids' HAND. Hold their WRIST - its much easier to get a solid grip on.

    OI YOU - settle down!

Would you have given me the learn when SullyOne wrestled clear of me and Sully to run straight out the front door of the local swimming pool onto the road? I can tell you ya would've got the learn back Mr - not all women whose kids get away on them are 'dumb-bitch mothers' sometimes it takes more than two hands to keep a determined kid under control...hence the idea of the lead still being available and in use.

A cage driver , a motorcyclist & a driver of heavy vehicles up to 44 tonne, experienced in overweight & overdimension loads over a 30 year period,

Carver may well have done the right thing , but the police & courts do not have any interest in the right thing, only in convictios.
Common sense is no longer a defense which shows how cycical I have become. So much of what we do is no longer about common sense or the right thing but about covering your arse & that has absolutely nothing to do with being a cage driver.

Should have done a stoppie got the cab half an inch away from his/her head then flicked the wipers on and used them to slap said kid in the face.

That would be true moron few c@#t crew antics.

And that is how the system works, Someone gets killed, Someone has to pay.

And when taking evasive action its only a tiny chance whatever you decide to do will work,Who knows what that kid would have done?

Hell, I've hit the horn at them and they have stopped and stared at the grill, Fuck me, Now what?

Well, Brake, swerve and try not to crush whatever you have now swerved at...Hope its not a car full with kids.

I have no idea if Carver done the right thing, Mainly due to the fact he posts so much shit this maybe complete fantasy to get attention, however taken on face value the kid was at fault, and he didn't get squashed so whatever was done worked and must have been right enough to save the day.

I was agreeing with your stance.

We have had some shocking outcomes from the "system".

And I have had police stand up and blatantly lie about situations I was part of in order for the system to function....

    Fuckin crazy.
