    Gearbox bearing behind the clutch needs to be upgraded from ball to roller. $100 if you do it yourself. That's about it.

    '03s were considered the ultimate, came standard with the single disc 43mm front end, high guard, bearing upgrade per above and high-flow head. But all years are worthwhile. The 2000s with 50mm Extreme forks are the best front-ends. Earlier bikes had 28L tanks, later ones 25.5L. Earlier ones had a better rallye computer. Later ones vibrate less.

    Just noticed the pillion pegs are absent.
