and it's listed as an "African Twin" not "Africa". Pretty good price, centre stand, no bars though. Looks tidy enuff.

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
thats a righteous looking bike
I can see "XRV 750-V" in your title now Padmei.

Having ridden both the RD04 is better built, the accountants had too much to do with spec'n of the RD07.
In the words of Juan-Manuel Fangio "Brakes they only slow you down"
Just watch you don't 'ride the spec sheet' with those kind of comments, the specs aren't gospel. Eg Triumph wanted the new 1999 Tiger 885i to appear lighter than the model it replaced. Unfortunately they'd told porkies on the spec sheet by the time the original model made it to production form, so the later year bikes although unchanged had a weight increase on the specs, just so the new 885i's reduced weight would come in under that.
Quoted weights used to have no basis in reality, particularly from the Japs. These days everyone is much better.
Even so, 4-5kg on a 200kg bike is not significant.
