About time ACC was privatised, then I would be happy to have private medical insurance. Paying around a couple of grand levy's now and dont have any choice except to walk everywhere.

Baffling would help with structural rigidity, especially if this is going to be a metal tank.

I don't think rigidity is going to be a problem its 1mm panel steel just thinking of 15Kgs moving around down there ie: under brakes or side to side

That's why I said about baffles introducing structural rigidity. It's all central, so slop will be fine. My nylon tank is divided by the frame spine, which gives some baffling, but there is a heap of potential movement there. But nylon can move - steel not so much... 15ls is not much though

You could put some evomx foam baffle cubes in . Got them on the klr with the big tank and they definitely work.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

So your saying you dont feel the fuel slopping around at slow speed. ie: changes in bike weight feeling.
I wonder how they would stand up to being put inside the tank before I welded the top in place.
I will google it tomorrow and check it out. Thanks

Hey Woodman, that looks like the stuff I am after save's adding any more metal / weight to the tank I think I should be able to push that through the filler pipe hole.
Did you buy it in NZ (where) or bring it in from over the seas?
    Thanks

I got it through work, still have a box on the shelf on clearance at the moment. I have 1.5 boxes in my tank (28 litres) which pretty much fills it up except for a couple of litres at the top.

If you want some it can be arranged no worries.

Day in the shed couldn't find fittings that I wanted to make these tanks work so have had to make them.

    1 evomx foam and inspection
    2 old petcock YZ tank
3 replacement for petcock to 3/4 hose
4 outlet to weld into the bottom of the tank

Hey Woodman how is that nose going? Hope your healing OK

I don't think it will end up being a bargain but will be interesting to see what it goes for. I have an amount in mind I will bid up to.
