All done up, no expense spared, and they put cheap Zeta handguards on?

Anyone need an improved field magnet housing for an OILHEAD valeo starter motor? I have just re-read my invoice from EME & realised what I ordered in error.

Given it is already on its way, & the shipping costs, I'll just have to order the correct one & suck it up. If no one here wants it it'll go on Trademe.

Bugger! At least it wasn't worth hundreds - shipping is always the bugbear tho.

Carbon Fibre Zeta ones though at $300!!...so not that cheap :-) ...but you're right not our first choice but the new TT ones where not available for the 2013 model.

The cool thing is, this was the spec used on the BMW GS South America Ralley (except the Desierto screen and pannier frame) and it done pretty well!!...not that conspicuous in person and pretty functional.

    Great thread guys!!

It's actually the alloy I don't like and the mounts don't snug up to fat bars very well. Got them on both bikes.

Wonder how the carbon Zetas off the F bike would look on a boxer twin?

Why the hell is it called a "boxer" anyway?

Can you have a unique boxer twin?

    After all, it's a twin?

    Rocksta?

Looking at the possibility of buying an 1150 Rocksta. Anything I should look out for / know about? Is the riding position more "sporty" than a standard R1150r?

Same motor as the 1150r, but the riding position is more upright.
I've always wanted a Boxer Cup Replika..

Well that's a surprise, for some reason I thought they would have been the other way round. Just shows it's good to ask questions. Tnx.

I can answer these perplexifying questions for you thus.
A boxer is a wacker of heads
A unique boxer twin will neek up behind you and wack you twice in the head

    Front forks

I've been messing about with the forks on my r100gs as I found they were bottoming out, put some heavy duty springs in but it was like riding a brick,
I've swapped one of the originals back in on the compression side, 10w oil on the compression side and 15w on the rebound side and its riding as sweet as a nut. A lot of mucking about but it's where I want it. I am on the light side (72kg) so I think that's makes a bit of a difference on the compression side. Cheers

if anyone buys that i'll swap the old original tank for a box full of choccy fish.

A lot of work's gone into that. What do you reckon they've done with the forks & discs?

that rear wheel looks very 'under' the bike with the standard swingarm aye?
