The 24 litre tank is on the shelf. The PD tank is with the PD. The PD tank does not fit me properly and while I could go from Gisborne to Waimauku on one tank, I have not missed it. The small tank makes the bike seem lighter, but doesn't really make a difference. At the moment it is getting its fair share of bike time and it's still good for 250-300km.

Shhh. We didn't want to tell Koko (and Padmei), but yes, you're right, to be a real Airhead you need to be much bigger in the tank department. We have just been humouring them.

Maybe, but the trend is towards smaller tanks. I've joined the movement at the grass roots

Big tank = small groin room. Pretty suitable application I would have thought.

I can see why. It's practically a new bike. I like the 'it has no gadgets' line

Hmmmm maybe I could sell my spare GS woolly mammoth head fairing to the new owner for a couple of grand?

I was trying hard not to trip over the elephant in the room
Yep not the nicest but way better than red. it's an easy fix tho. Kinda reminds me of that Ducati retro sport model (not the Paul Smart but the other one with racing stripes) colour.

Actually while I'm at it I do think the S fairing doesn't look right with the PD tank - smooth against the angular.
