dont quite understand "release tank from housing".If i want to look at fuses etc i take the tank right off.

Sorry, I meant the cir-clip under the seat that releases the tank so in order to lift it....I thought it pivots and can be suspended to work under..

nope.if its the same as mine it s a hook that hooks into the end of the top tube of the frame,if you can compress the rubber block under the tank enough

Looks good in black, but red is better...
I need a brake reservoir protector for the PD, I see one there and am looking on eBay...Two different varieties, R100, and the PD version, either one will do.

Touratech NZ/Aus doesn't even stock half the stuff Germany has and you cannot buy the items either it seems. When you type in part numbers to search, they don't exist?
You cannot buy from Touratech Germany anymore can you because of this new set up here...

    WHY ?????????????????????

Best advice would be to remove the mirror that mounts through the master cylinder and fit something else.

knocking the mirror off destroys the master cylinder ask me how I know.

Touratech you could try Wunderlich I think thats how you spell it.

It is a 1991, New Zealand new...123,000 on the clock.
I really like them, always have....I think I discussed my like for them when I met Eddie a few years ago. Even in brown it looked cool...
    But red, another story...
I have had a look at the Dakar bike, wondering if I could still get Texaco, Marlboro and a Playboy decal from somewhere..

You better remove those quoted pictures otherwise you will get a warning!
I am 6 3 and can flat foot it,seat to peg is a bit cramped, but I don't find it too bad,i need bar risers to make standing more comfortable.
So WT,do have the new style switches(indicator switches both sides?)
