Mine didn't look that good when i bought it in 1988. Mind you the seller kept it in a cave that doubled as his wood shed. Here it is a bit over a year ago.

Hey guys, does anyone have some cylinder guards for an r80 g/s? Or is that a bit of a long shot?

They don't look too hard to make up a set?

Thanks for the link. I'll keep hunting. I haven't purchased the bike yet but hope to look at it in a week or so. Are there any things in particular to look for on an old 1981 r80 g/s ? Thanks guys!

Bike is near Napier. It was on trademe a while back. Dunkel blue. White painted frame for some reason??

Google.There is so much info out there.Adv rider,airheads.Dont get scared by the doomsday naysayers.It's a old old bike,buy it it you want one

Believe it or not, my loved BMW R1100GS got stolen in Christchurch this week!

I would be more than happy if you guys can help me to find it and get it back! I really need your help! Thank you very much!

Here you will find the details of my bike again and the last (and only) picture how the bike looked like before it

got stolen in the night of the 04.06. to the 05.06.2014 between 01:30 and 03:00am in the driveway of 88 Kidson Terrace, Cashmere, Christchurch, 8022

Bike: BMW R 1100 GS

Year: 1995

Colour: red (steel tank), silver, black (see photo)

Km: approximately 33500km

Plate: 99ZBU

VIN/Chassis number: 7A81H341107954639

Distinguishing features: Pillion seat not mounted, Mitas eo7s tires, both right indicators repaired/patched with black tape, lock for seats broken,
lacking / broken steering lock (the theft removed it forcibly and left it behind)
