The R1200GSA definitely is rated for 33L, but if I squeeze it in, and don't leave it overnight, parked up etc, I can get more like 35-36L.

Tyres are 110-80-19 and 150-70-17... I know, as I've put a couple of sets on already

    Main differences are:
    - 20L fuel tank on GS, 33L tank on GSA
    - crash bars standard on GSA, nothing on GS
    - pannier racks on GSA standard, nothing on GS (GS panniers don't need racks either)
    - cast rims for GS, spoked rims on GSA (but still tubeless). Identical rim sizes tho
    - small screen on GS, larger screen on GSA
    - GSA has an altered first gear, better for off road, rest of the gearing between bikes is identical
    - Higher seat heights on GSA than GS
    - More ground clearance on GSA than GS
    - handguards on GSA standard, extras on GS
    - GS is lighter than GSA

Certain things on the GS can be modified (even including replacing the tank), but realistically, once you want enough of the features of the GSA, just buy the GSA... they're excellent bikes
    Awesome, thanks for that.
The GS I am waiting to come up has crash bars & spotlights, expanding luggage, spoked wheels, larger screen, handguards, aftermarket seat, plus Akropovic muffler.
It also has ABS/ASC, heated grips etc, so its mostly a GSA I guess.
It has 64k on it & is very tidy, any guesses on what it may be worth?

Yep, offer them a low ball offer, if it's been on sale for a while you might get lucky. Sucks to be a seller but thats how it is.

What year as well... there has been some minor changes over the years. For the GSA, 2010 heralded some performance improvements in the motor, receiving go fast goodies from the HP2

Somewhere along the line, the GS alternator went from about 600W to 720W. The R1200GSA has always had 720W. Makes a big difference when you want lots of accessories, and ABS etc do use up a lot more than one without.

Its an '07 & apparently dosent have the boosted brakes.
The bike isint on the market yet, but will be in a couple of weeks.
I thought the asking price was fairly reasonable at 15k.

It also lines up a bunch of machines based on mileage & year & the cheapest & roughest one dictates the price of the rest without anyone actually going & viewing or riding them.
This sometimes works in the buyers favour.

I don't actually agree with that. When I was selling my KLR one started with a $1reserve. It eventually reached $6K.
That one was pretty stock & in very good condition. There were & still are numerous similar examplesfor sale at a higher price. That set the benchmark really of wht the market was repared to pay.

I priced my bike accordingly lower & sold it.
