    Me three.

I've heard the suggestion I sell something first way too many times. Bargins don't hang around.

Didn't move on this one because the domestic noise would have been...intense...

I say stay away from those cheap old German bikes. Good reliable collectable japanese is the way of the future - you'll make a mint.
Just walk away from them - go on away you go

    Hey onestop

If you look on the tyres thread at the top they give you a pretty good idea.

I myself run Dunlop 606s on the front of anything I ride as I've found them great offroad, great on road (I dont commute,do long tours or ride a lot in the rain however). They are knobblies so will wear quicker than a road biased tyre however are very confidence inspiring on gravel- which is my greatest request.
Others run a similar tyre the MT21 however I find them too soft for a heavy bike under braking & wear quite quickly. I also find they aren't very good past half worn (we tend to run tyres down to the canvas down here)

The bikes with roady Shinko 705s I've ridden have handled superbly on the road & gravel butnot on mud.
