HB has a huge network of back roads just made for Adv bikes.
    G'day Waipukbiker,
I have never been to the Hawkes Bay area... will have to come through one day for a look around (East coast virgin!!)
Am keen to catch up so when ever you come down my way drop me a line, and I will do the same when I get the chance to come up your way.

the project sounds pretty interesting... as for the wof saga, it's always frustrating when one guy picks up on something that has never been a problem in the past... (if it's good enough for one it should be good enough for the rest - double standards)

Got a little issue with my bike at the moment, found it was lacking a little power, (only bought it in December) so was thinking it was a carbie issue... cleaned the air filter which made a rather impressive difference, and pulled the spark plugs, only to find the previous owner had stripped the thread on the inner spark plug, the spark plug was sitting proud of the cylinder head by about 1/4 of the thread, which I am going to have to send it in to the shop to have the thread repaired (recoiled or helicoil job)

Blah Takapari Road this coming Saturday 22 March 2014

I've posted this intended ride under Wellington 'rideouts'

Seemed appropriate to share it with Manawatu folks - meet Allied Petrol Station, Napier Road Ashurst Saturday for a 10am departure.

Other gravel roads as time and enthusiasm permits

    Cheers

Nice. Only been up there once on the DL (a few other times on trailees) and the weather was really crappy when we went up. Brought back a souvenir too...

    Great pics!

It looks like the BRR assault on Fishers Track & 42 Traverse is still on for next weekend. Still not sure if the DL is going yet...
