Are you saying he couldn't be offended because he's a man?

Lets get real here, despite my earlier comments (forgive me if I sometimes disguise my true opinion in the interests of a good argument), I think Henry crossed the line (having said that, I do think the reaction is hysterical, and sexist).
Derogatory comments on anyone's appearance, be they male or female, is uncouth. As the comment is directed at one person, the offense caused therein can only really be experienced by that one person. So who are you to say that the mustache comment was more or less hurtful and/or distasteful than the comb comment?

It's why I was not wanting to comment any further on this. You argue for arguements sake not for any belief one way or the other and it shows in your comments.

I have not said that the moustach comment was more hurtfull one way or the other. I simply believe that if I was invited into your home you would have the good manners not to pass derogutaory comments about me after I had left.

This is basicly what Henry has done. He had a guest on his show then when she had left proceeded to read emails from viewers that were less than complimentary. Now some may find that humourouse etc. OK their choice..........not mine. End of story.

Just to take a complete detour, have you ever noticed that almost all humour revolves around the misery, suffering, misfortune, ridiculing, singling out, or putting down of others?

Sit back, and think about all the good jokes you know, and I suspect youll find an element of schadenfruede in all of them.

Yes that is true. Politicians of all political hue, personalities of the media etc. All in all not too many people get upset about this unless you are dictator of some tinpot republic.

But there is a vast difference between humour and rudeness.

I doubt very much if Henry would have commented adversley if he had a guest who had a cleft lip or some other blemish. There are some areas that in my view are taboo. One you do not insult a guest. It was interesting to note that Henry's comments only happened after the interview had ended. The fact that Henry's comments only occurred after the interview had ended suggests to me that Henry knew what he was doing was inappropiate. Even his co-host was embarressed. It was a 'cheap' shot at a woman who had no way of defending herself by a man who in doing so demeaned himself far more than his victim.

I think I get it. That Greenpeace woman with the 5 o'clock shadow is Skyryders wife... or daughter, or sister.

Good. He can purchase his loved one a Mach-3 razor or one of Mr Remington's finest products.

I think you're taking it too seriosuly bud, see my point above. Everyone knew she had a mo, she knew she had a mo, she knew everyone watching the interview would know she had a mo. I think commenting on the mo during the interview would insult her more because of the fact it would take away from the topic of the interview. Who cares if afterwards they were like, she had a mo. Waaaaaaa, I dont think she would appreciate you having a cry on her behalf. She doesnt care, obviously you need to take a htfu pill not her hehe.

    Peace

    You mean like:

You argue for arguements sake not for any belief one way or the other and it shows in your comments.

There is always an element of my personal belief in my comments. I see little reason to argue from a 'position' that I do not hold. Although it is usefull as a mental exercise to ascertain likely counter arguments to the ones that I may use. But at the end of day win lose or draw..............no one cares so why should I? But I suspect that you hold a differing opinion on this.............
