They haven't in the North for ages - Regular & diesel only
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Watching Top Gear last night, and in the news section they said (loosely quoted) "And in the news today, petrol prices are now over a pound per litre". Thats 3 bucks!!!

Sure it was an early 2004 show, but no indication that it should be any different now. Hell, people dont complain about the price of Coke at $2.40 for a 600ml bottle.

A lot of petrol stations now only sell 98 too I've noticed. Maybe it's a trick to get in customers who want 96 and entice them into paying another 5 cents a litre and getting 98.

Yup, fuel is bloody expensive in the UK. That's why I give out an annoying/irritating/arrogant/belittling scoffing sound when people here moan about the price of fuel.

Whinging poms? Because they have a lot to whinge about I guess. :spudwhat:

At the end of the day, they have you by the short and curlies, so I am firmly in the just pay and ride away camp. Dont get me wrong, if I thought wingeing and bitching would get me anywhere, I'd be all over it , but it wont, so therefore, as jrandom would say "meh"

    Here, here!!
If it means going for a ride verse not going for a ride, then I'll pay whatever (within reason of course)

    Doesn't mean im happy about it tho! . . . . . .

Given that my bike is basically a toy, and I can't really justify having it on the basis of economy, I'm not too worried about it (although it does piss me off the amount of unnecessary "Road Tax" that the cost incorporates ).
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

how do we get them to lower prices. and i am waiting for the day when the hybrid motor bike comes out, or even worse the full electric bike. kilo watts will really come into it then. and you could really call it a sewing machines. remember the days when we used to laugh at them. now it may come true.

Yep, it's still cheaper per litre than milk - and we produce that here. And before anyone says "but you don't use a litre of milk to get to work in the morning", I say: Oh yeah? do you know how much coffee I have to drink before I can get out the door of a morning? I like this smilie, he drinks beer like I drink coffee...

You sure they weren't talking about pounds per gallon?

I heard of an idea to lower fuel prices. It goes something like this:
Get everyone to fuel up at only one oil company (let's say BP). All of the other oil companies will start to feel the pinch as they're not getting their fair share of the market so they'll drop the prices, then BP will follow suit.

Either that...or vote in the National Government!
