Ouch, I was reading about that today, as I work for another company that contracts to Telecom, Albiet a pretty big one.

Thats a big change in how they do things.

For a good long while we have been immune in Wanaka however with the Kawarua Falls Project being put into management this has cast a cloud over central otago.

This is an $880,000,000.00 m (Eight Hundred And Eighty Million) dollar build and with FF&E will be $1.2b complete, we have done a lot of work on this which has now stopped for the moment, the problem is the OVERSEAS banks etc, the kiwi end of the stick has been held high.

Anyway, if the receivers let this fold it will be a NZ problem not a central otago problem simply because of the magnitude and scale of the project.

I believe it will be all good and stage one is financed complete and stage 2 is looking good and thus the further stages as well.

For me I have had a bit more time to continue building our motorhome which is cool, never a dull moment here, would like to have been riding more however the last coupla weeks have be dismally cold.

So, cheer up, chin up and go riding, we still live in one of the most beautiful playground in the world.

funny you should say that, as i was just wondering if it would be possable to do a tour right around NZ, top and bottom. and only stay at KB riders houses.

I live in Timaru, half way between Christchurch and Dunedin, 300 metres from the coast - welcome to crash on the couch here no worries

, plenty of food in the freezer and beer in the fridge :-)

Happy to show you a bit of gravel in this area too

On a slightly more serious note, how seriously are you after a job, and would you consider shifting to the south island ? I presume you have your HT and trailer lisences ? Stu

It's prety cruel offering Joe a job when he's just planning his trip. At least wait till he's got back home

im fully licensed class 4H /5H rated to 48 tonne A-B / B / articulated / reffer /
tractor units...
i once drove wood pulp to napier over night.
