Hey man have you thought of a job with Fonterra?
They were looking for drivers and they always seem to be employing.
    http://www.fonterra.com/wps/wcm/conn...g+at+Fonterra/

They looking for drivers at long burn,
    Paihatua,
    Hawera,
    Blenhim,

may not be what you want but it could lead to a job .

also i know a mate that does a few under the table jobs for a mate securing loose ground and bridges all around.
Based in Hamilton but they go any where and talking to george the other day they are flat out.

to date ive send out 28 CV's by email and snail mail.

i feel now days, there is so many people going for the same job, it just floods the employer.

    ive applyed for this job.
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=226573567
still waiting, but i did get in early, as only 12 people had visited the page
now up to 1162 hits.... the only people looking at this type of work are truck drivers...
thats a lot of drivers eather looking for work, or looking to change jobs...

its getting harder to get in to a job, even if they are out there...

    on to the next one.....

    Keep harassing them.
My old man worked for ever with them and retired just recently.
the amount of muppets he has seen leaves the mind boggling.
so they are employing all year round.
not to far away farm contracting jobs will come up with ag contractors too.
i'll ask dad about jobs at Fonterra.
I know his best mate used to do the hiring for the drivers but i not sure if he still does.
i'll let you know what i find out.

what im finding more and more now days, is you have to have your extras, like STMS, Sitesafe, Worksafe.Civil pasport. First add.
    all need to be current
some of theses cant be updated unless your working with a company.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease (or something like that). I told a guy no twice but he kept turning up at my door step. He got the job.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

    Hi Joe

Thank you for your application, however on review I note that you are based in Masterton. We require someone to be based in Hamilton or Tauranga and although you are prepared to move. we have had a lot of interest from that area already. Therefore we cannot progress with your application.

    Thank you for your interest.

    Regards

Thats crap and I'd be having ago at them about it. If you are prepared to move then it is no business of theirs where you are currently located. The only thing would be if you were going to hit them up for relocation costs but surely it would be worth talking to the most skill candidate and negotiating this. I dont know the situation but you might not even be worried about this and they may have just turned away the best man for the job because of an assumption. Wankers!

    Cheers R
