Boss said the budget target for sales is down 34%, so time to batten down the hatches.
One bloke is leaving for another job and isn't being replaced. That leaves 5 from a staff of 18 only two years ago.
    It ain't over yet.

Sorry to hear that Joe, I've heard civil work up here, althougth there seems to be a lot going on, is being slowed down and guys have not been replaced for a while. In my work there is some work around (better than last year) but everyone, designers through to builders, has only got a month or so ahead of them, very different to being booked up for 6 months ahead!
We have turned a corner but there is a long way to go, that lovely government GST change is going to slow things down again for me this year so I'm being carefull for now.

Keep an eye on the site of Rooney Earthmoving www.rooneygroup.co.nz if you are prepared to move south

They regularly have jobs for excavator operators ( apparently they have over 70 excavators operating at present )

    Just a thought

    Good Luck
