    but we did see sparkly glow shit in the sand mate,,,,we are special...

    yea mate...but its true, some glowing stuff washed up on the beach,, was small, but it was all over the beach, then this freak wave tried to wash us back in to the ocean...
    i picked up some of this glow stuff, and when ya touched it it would glow up more... weird place south island....

    you enjoy your trip.

    Phosphoresence is my guess for the glowing stuff, you should have tried going for a swim in it. Even more amazing lights up as your arms/legs make strokes...

    i remember fishing up north one year it was quite bad, we were night fishing in about 4-5m of water when the sinker hit the bottom it was like watching a little explosion, shit fishing when that Phosphoresence is around like that.

    Swimming was the last thing on my mind, mouth of the Kohaihai river, middle of the night, serious undertow, not a good time or place to swim

    Haha, I'd forgotten about that wave, musta looked like a pack of nancys scampering up the beach away from the water
