Pleased for you Joe. Hope things last a wee while longer, but sounds hopeful if they are quantifying it as a yr & a bit. Mind you that was said the time before last. Wasn't that a 4 yr contract? See you this weekend.

They ALSO said that job listings were up, so the signs are that things are improving.

IIRC they were expecting the economy to bottom end Q3 last year (and it did), but employment was not expected to recover until mid-2010.
    Cheers,

    there is work out there,
in my field of work, now finding the employers are targeting the more experience you have, the more licences you have, im lucky there as i have shit loads...
and if you are multi skilled on different machines.

ok ive picked up a year and a bits work, but once the contract is finished and they packet up and gone back to Auckland, im back at square one..

but we worry about that when it comes along aye...

Side note. NZ borrowings are at 95% of GDP, if people don't start reigning in the credit card/36mth credit purchases/dumb arse expenditure, then in 4yrs time that % will be 110 of GDP.
That lifestyle ain't sustainable. We will have to pay the piper by massive cuts to our living standards quickly.
    Have a nice day.
