Arrrghh Jim! what a bugger! Glad it's all fixable and the bike is still rideable. It sure did get windy in town yesterday!
I had several brown pants moments coming home at around 5:30 that just about blew my bike over with me on it!

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Since when does it blow in Wellington???
Bugger!
Don't you just hate when that happens...
Diarrhoea is hereditary - it runs in your jeans
If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...
Buggar Jim!! Dont worry about the insurance, some gardening with me...
It was fucken windy yesterday, I actually stopped twice on the motorway to reagin some composure. The wind hit me so hard at one point that I had to kick myself off the concrete barrier. Poor little GN in front of me was blown across three laners at 2 occasions. New undie time....

Gutting. But good on you for making sure the other guy's/gal's bike would not suffer the same fate.![]()
thats a real bastard, hope the insurance sorts your baby out quickly so shes all shiny again, and bloody good on ya for thinking about the other bike mate, you deserve a beer
If ya have a 600kg Moto Guzzi, then the wind gets too scared to blow it over
Bugger about that ay, Jim. Hope all goes well with fixing it.
Likewise what's been said, kudos for thinking of others![]()
"...you meet the weirdest people riding a Guzzi !!..."

Well it's not just a Wellington phenomenon... I feel for you Jim. Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago at the Coroglen pub. Parked up (bike on side stand), ordered a drink, then crash! Bike had been blown over onto the opposite side, (of the side stand). Luckily the bike next to me was just far enough away to not get collected.
Didnt break any levers, but bent the RHS handle bar/brake lever, took chunks out of the fairing, and scratched/dented pipe.
managed to stay calm and still enjoy the day out on the bike (thankful it was still rideable), but it raises my blood pessure every time I look at the damage.
...and I don't wanna die, just want to ride my motorcy...cle (Arlo Guthrie)
Yep that sucks.Having a wine so i will have 2 on you
So you pay money to have the name of the strongest motorcycle handlebars ever made on your bike - and they bend when your bike falls over in the wind? What would happen if he actually crashed the bike at speed?
I've got Renthals in trials,MX and speedway bends, and only bent the trials bars (present ones are 27 years old) The speedway bars have been down countless times on dirt tracks, and also a couple of times on the road - and they are still bent....but they were made that way.
