will I need to get a sleeping bag, although i see the nurses home has linen if thats where we are staying.
Is hard or soft luggage best. Have both but am leaning to soft as the top box could break in a fall. (unlikely of course)
Should i bring my full or half full bottle of rum?

    What do you guys take?
Wilson's Pub for food. Specially dinnererers
    I'm taking a sleeping bag.
Luggage. More along the lines of a backpack with a change of clothes. Leave your luggage at the nurses home for the Sat ride.
    Full bottle.

We will stay at the nurses home (I will call them today to make sure they have some space) so you most probably wont need a sleeping bag.

I normally have some porridge sachets with me so that breakfast is easily sorted (and dinner if I'm desperate) . Apart from that I buy food as I go

I'll take my hard top box but have a soft day pack for the knarlier bits and leave the top box at Reefton.

I'll also have soft panniers (I carry too much shit) that I'll leave in Reefton.

Sometimes these places dont have towels/flannels/soap so I always bring my own.

you bring a full bottle of rum and I'll bring a full bottle of coke and we'll share - that sounds fair to me......

Nordie - why bring a sleeping bag?

be good to have you along

most motor camps will provide bedding for an extra fee ($5 normally) so I don't take a sleeping bag to save the space

a road tire will limit you but wont stop you having fun.

    cheers

    Paladin

Everybody but Dave and Joe are requesting the Thursday 1825 sailing heading South. Joe and Dave wish to travel on the 0225 that morning. We will all be on the Sunday 1805 ex Picton home.

Including me that is 8 bikes and riders.

I am now waiting for Faye at IIL to confirm these bookings. Each individual will then get confirmation from me and special instructions (both by PM from me) on how to pay the IIL direct, by cheque and mail or phone and credit card. Note that the method of paying will be specific to our special deal - you have to follow my instructions to use this deal, you cannot just ring the 0800 number and talk to anybody.

    Regards,
    Michael
Hi Michael, sent you a PM. Appears to be some confusion here. I was also on that list, but now seems to have dropped off. Is it possible to add me in, 'cause I'm definitely keen to go....

    Cheers, Steve
