She's sitting outside my donga right now!

Took all day in Perth getting the red tape done

I expected that though: Customs, Qantas and Aqis were all great to deal with.
On the other hand, DPI, a local government department like VTNZ, were a pain...no-one seems to know just what to do. The lady serving me had worked there for 20 years and had never done an Overseas vehicle permit before?

The ride back up here was great....even though done right on 'roo-oclock'

Pix to come soon now! Jamie.

They've got some beautiful country up north, did the kimberley and Gibb river road in 06 in a 4wd. Did the Pilbara in 05 too. Roads are too straight for my liking on a bike though. Have fun though.
My Brother in law is a farming contractor in Gingin, does a bit of work around Moora.
They said i have so much ass crack that i could be a dealer

Yes that is great country up north, plan to take wifey up there at the end of my contract here.

Small world, doubt I will bump into him thou, just about everything is done 'in-house' on this property except fencing and some additional spreading which is contracted out.
    Pikkies will come soon.....promise!

Cheers Jym, good to hear from you!

I fear that my 'exploits' will be restricted to 'my' tractor any day now without much chance to do anymore rideing for a while.

This 1 is the baby of the fleet...my 'learners' if you like!

More, we need more pictures Whats the "big" fella then?

Got to get me over there one day. Pitty I haven't driven a tractor in 10 years (i.e. would be hard for me to get a job like this) cause it looks like a good way to fund some looking around the "padock".

    Cheers R

See if you can con him into posting some pics of the full rig including the implements he will be towing.

Cause the paddocks are so big that even a speed demon biker like yourself would take half a day or more just to ride around the perimeter fence of one paddock. These farms are so huge that most Kiwi's would struggle to comprehend.

Jamie tells me that the property where he works, is about 10,000 Hectares, of which 6,400 is plantable. I think part of the problem is that the time window for planting is not that wide. They need a bit of rain before they can start drilling and so once the window opens, the job has to be done fairly smartly.
Consequently, both the area and the time restriction points to needing BIG equipment.

Well done squire, got it in one....me thinks u bin hangin round with sod-bustas too much eh?

The wee rig is in fact ONLY(?) 400hp, done nearly 9000hrs and runs like a swiss watch! Did 4-5hrs in her yesterday evening, covered 41Ha ( about 100 acres in the old language)...will plant 10ha/hr once everything is running smoothly...you see, there are 3 individual bins each with a differant product, all of which need to be metered at a differant application rate: this can take time to set!
I spent 2day in workshop while my co-driver got some time in, 2moro after dawn parade here in Moora, I will seed about 60-80 ha before dark.
Pix is of ALL the wee rig and some of the big rig: 530hp!!!
    Glad ur enjoying!!
