    Just been stopped by Police?

I've just been stopped by a rather large police road block thing.

Thing is, I had my helmet on and ear plugs in so I missed the officers preamble but it sounded like we're checking for booze. He shoved an electrical item under my chin guard and shouted
"name and address!" at this point I stopped blowing on it and shouted my name and address. "Sweet" says he and sends me on my way.

I'm not unduly worried but can anyone shed some light on the purpose of said device. I noticed they were ramming them in all the other drivers faces, a snifter machine for checking speights breath or a simple recording device?

Anyone else had a strange object stuffed in their helmet?

Cheers Mick, I suspected as much, haven't been stopped by the constabulary since 1978, I guess things have moved on from the (can you identify these three German fighter planes on a cigarette card ) drunk test.

So...these things you've had shoved in your helmet??

As I say, I was wearing flares and a tank top last time a constable showed any interest in my breath, Not sure if they have such devices in old Englandshire, just helicopters and satellites to catch ya picking your nose in a no picky nose zone.

I know a guy who is worried it might be a "Big Brother is watching" type recording device so counts one to ten when they shove it in his face. Usually gets a sideways look form the Police Officer but achieves the result they are after.

She was just checking to see if you were kissable mate

Never had anything shoved anywhere I did not invite really. However, I have had the odd unwanted things in my helmet, most recently my friggen loose hair! It really hurts getting whipped on the face constantly by loose strands of hair

Hornets in helmets is a whole new thread really

Seems to me it's quite proper that your hair should whip you in such a fashion. Mega bitches should be roundly whipped, on a daily basis, I reckon.

I've had that breath test 3 times now. The last time was in my car at night time coming out of town.

When the police man shoved it through my window my dog in the back leaned over my shoulder in a rush and bit the breathaliser. Luckily the cop was good hearted and asked what kind of dog she was, he couldnt see her as she's all black. Made me chuckle, must have given him a shock.
